The flag of the Czech Republic consists of two equal horizontal bands of white (top) and red with a blue
isosceles triangle based on the hoist side (identical to the flag of the former
Czechoslovakia).
Coat of Arms of Czech Republic
The Coat of Arms of the Czech Republic displays the three historical
regions which make up the nation.
The arms of Bohemia, displayed twice (in the top left and bottom right) to
symbolize the traditional importance of that region, shows a silver
double-tailed lion on a red background. In the top right, the Moravian
red-and-silver chequered eagle is shown on a blue background. In the bottom left
the arms of Silesia, a black eagle with the so-called "clover stalk" in his
breast on golden background is shown, although it should be noted that only a
small south-eastern part of the historical region of Silesia belongs to the
Czech republic (see Czech Silesia).
This Shield is also used as the badge for the Czech football team.
